If you can’t be with the snack you love…

If this were an exercise in true dreaming and imagination, I would first curse the winds for giving me a full enough stomach right now that I’m not that interested in a snack, and then I’d remember what a wonderful thing it is to consider snacks.

If I could have anything from anywhere transported and delivered into my mouth and gut right now, it would be any of the following: baked parmesan crisps, popcorn that comes in a bag from the store (I’m too fancy to make my own), a frozen bar in coconut or banana flavor, 2 or 3 fudgecicles, good beef jerky from the Southwest with red chili all over it, or wasabi anything. I have none of these things in my home right now, and its raining outside, so I won’t quest. Luckily, I’ve got a ton of frozen blueberries in my freezer, which I also love eating because they make me feel like a kid, for some reason. And maybe that’s the key to a good snack — you gotta’ be able to picture yourself eating it while you’re sitting up in a treehouse with your best friend, hiding out from your dumb brother. And blueberries are great because if he walks by underneath the tree, you can try to hit him with a few.

This admittedly went too far! Ha!
