First of all, what is this blog even about? Why am I writing it? Who am I writing it for? And why has it taken so long to start?
DISCLAIMER: This blog is not intended as either an educational tool of any sort or any kind of self-help manual. It is not intended to inspire or to guide. It is simply raw testimony to the extraordinary human capacity for self-sabotage and stagnation. If any enlightenment results on the part of the reader (if there happen to be any), it should be considered purely coincidental.
This blog is sort of a memoir of failure—a failoir.
More specifically, the blog is about having goals, not fulfilling them, still wanting to, still not fulfilling them, then breaking down and “committing” to maybe someday making an effort to sort of fulfill them…unless something better comes along (e.g., overseas love affair, lottery windfall, deadly disease, Apocalypse). In other words, it’s about fear.
DISCLAIMER: This blog is not suitable for readers seeking coherent structure and logical thematic development. It will be composed in an unorthodox format. There will be very few, if any, videos or pics. The occasional sub-standard illustration might appear.

That’s me.
Why am I writing this blog? I like writing but hate novels. I need a place to channel ideas I can’t develop easily onstage (see “dormant aspirations of pursuing stand up for the third time”). I need an excuse to put off getting onstage a little longer. I need something to validate my existence (I should probably volunteer). I need to justify the past.
Who am I writing for?………..?
Why has it taken so long to start? Well, it’s partly down to the fact that I had no idea I was even going to start a blog until a few months ago. Then I got busy avoiding the work. More on this later.
THEMES: Comedy, Depression, Anxiety, Existential angst, Fear, Imprisoned Development, Comeback obsession, Late bloomer redemption
“Extraordinary human capacity for self-sabotage and stagnation.” Yeah, got that right.
Comedy, Depression, Anxiety, Existential angst, Fear, Imprisoned Development, Comeback obsession, Late bloomer redemption! I love this.
There happens to be this one reader, anyway!
I also love how it says there will be very few, if any, pics, and then we get this amazing illustration — “sub-standard” only in the way it manifests the whole zeitgeist of the blog! Woah.
